The conference is accredited by the Slovakian, Romanian, Serbian and Hungarian Veterinary Chamber.
The registration number of the conference given by the Hungarian Veterinary Chamber is OSZ 06-2010. The number of credit points is 104.

Dinner and equestrian performance in Pecze-hodály, in Hortobágy.
Bus transfer from Kölcsey Convention Centre at 18.00 is provided.
Hortobágy is a vast area of plains and wetland in Eastern Hungary. Traditional forms of land use, such as the grazing of domestic animals, have been present in the pastoral society for more than two millennia.
The price of the program and the bus transfer is included in the registration fee.
For Accompanying persons additional tickets are available for EUR 40/person. Please indicate your request on the Registration Form.

Accommodation
Reservations are made on a first come first served basis.
Hotel booking deadline: 23 April, 2010
After 23 April, 2010 accommodation cannot be guaranteed.
Hotel reservation will only be made on receipt of the cost of the total stay and should be sent in written form using the Registration Form. Upon receipt of the reservation request and the payment, each participant will receive a confirmation in writing.
The extras (minibar, telephone etc.) should be paid at the hotel upon departure.
Please note that any reservation, payment or change of reservation should be sent directly to the Conference Organizer (Blaguss Congress Bureau).

Badges
Each participant will receive a name badge upon registration. For security reasons all participants are requested to wear their badges during the Conference. Entrance will not be permitted to those delegates not wearing their badges.

The parking fee is HUF 220 (approx. EUR 0,8) per hour in Kölcsey Convention Centre's parking lot.
About Debrecen
Debrecen with its almost 205 thousand inhabitants is the second largest city in Hungary. It is 220 kilometres away from Budapest, in the Eastern part of Hungary. It is not only the cultural and scientific centre of the region, but also a marvellous place of various festivals and cultural events.
The city and its region was already inhabited in the ancient times, as up to the arrival of the wandering Hungarians in the 9th century A.D. a number of various nations and ethnic groups lived here. As a result of this, the margins of the contemporary city often functioned as border territories among major empires and nations. Nagyerdő (Great Forest) and Ördög-árok (Devil's Ditch) in the territory called Erdőspuszták also show evidences of ancient habitation as it reveals the remnants of an enormous frontier defence system. The city grew out of the union of a number of villages and was founded in the meeting of important trading routes, but the history of the city is still hardly known around and even after the time of the conquest. Debrecen emerged from the surrounding villages after the Mongol Invasion. The name of the city occurred first in 1235 in an ecclesiastic document, and in 1271 it occurred as Dubrychyn, and in the last years of the 13th century as Debruchun.

How to reach Debrecen if you decide to take a plane
The most convenient way to travel to Debrecen is to fly to Budapest Ferihegy Airport (www.bud.hu) first and from there take a high speed train to Debrecen.
There are excellent flight connections to Budapest from all over the world, MALÉV Hungarian Airlines (www.malev.hu) offer non-stop, direct flights from the major European and overseas cities.
Train connection from Budapest to Debrecen
Passengers arriving to Budapest Ferihegy Airport Terminals (1, 2A and 2B) can take a direct bus service (bus Nr. 200E) to Ferihegy Railway Station (Ferihegy vasútállomás).
Public transportation means can be used for a fare of HUF 320 (approx. 1,2 Euro) or 400 HUF (approx. 1,5 Euro), when buying the ticket on the bus from the driver.
The two platforms of the railway station are connected to the Airport Terminal 1 with a pedestrian footbridge as well which is equipped with lifts above the clearway. It takes a short walk of just 200 meters to get to the station.
There are high speed trains (1st class, InterCity trains) calling at Ferihegy Railway Station to Debrecen in every hour during weekdays. You can find the train schedule at the website of MÁV (www.mav-start.hu), the Hungarian Railway Company. Train tickets can be purchased at the Tourinform Office in Terminal 1 from 09.00 to 22.00. InterCity tickets can also be ordered via phone: +36 40 494 949.

How to reach Debrecen if you plan to come by car
You can drive on highway M3 and primary roads Nr. 33 or 4. To use the motorways one has to buy vignettes at petrol stations. A daily vignette is HUF 2.760 (approx. EUR 10,5). The duration of a journey from Budapest is about two and a half hours.

Climate
The climate of Hungary is continental. In May it is usually nice and warm with a maximum temperature of 25-30°C during daytime, while the lowest temperature during the night might range between 15-20°C. Rain is not usual in this season.
Currency
The official national currency is the Hungarian Forint (HUF), which is convertible. The exchange rates applied in Budapest banks, official exchange offices and hotels may vary. All the major credit cards (VISA, EC/MC, American Express, Diners) are accepted in Hungary in places displaying their emblems at the entrance. The current exchange rate issued by the Hungarian National Bank on 4 February, 2010 is 1 Euro = 269,57 HUF. It changes on daily basis.

Invitation letter
An official invitation letter will be sent to participants who may need it to obtain visa or funding etc. on individual request. Invitation letters do not constitute a commitment to provide any financial support for travelling and staying expenses. The letters will be sent by regular mail or via e-mail in PDF file.
Insurance
The registration fee does not include provision of any insurance. Participants are advised to travel with valid personal travel and health insurance.
Electricity
The voltage in Hungary is 230 V, 50 Hz AC.
Security
Hungary and Debrecen are safe places. However, the usual security precautions should be observed. Beware of pickpockets, especially on public transport.
